A Cow Delivers a Calf with Six Legs
It is learnt that in Negampaha South in Syabalangamuwe a owner of a cattle farm D.M.Sumathirathna a milking mother cow had delivered a calf having six legs. The calf had been born on the 23rd at around 7 a.m. It was observed that the calf has had two additional legs protruding from near the tale.
According to the owner D.N.Sumathipala the two additional legs of the calf had not grown properly. This mother cows first delivery it is learnt. The owner had brought to the
knowledge of the Galnewa Veterinary surgeon had added that the additional legs could be removed via a simple surgery. It is learnt that a large number of villages had gathered to Sumathirathna’s residence to see the calf with six legs.
