According to the reports, Mrs Kanthi Gunawardana, the Director General of ‘Deyata Kirula’,was transferred from the Ministry, with immediate effect, for taking action, against the corruptions and irregularities, supposed to be committed at the Ministry of Telecommunication, and Information Technology relevant to the Deyata Kirula Exhibition which is due to be held in Ampara.
It is being said that,this transfer was done on the necessity of two high ranking officials of the Ministry. She is also performing as the Additional Secretary of the Telecommunication, and Information technology.
She has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration.
