Apologize from Weather Broadcasters
The cyclone that went past the Western Asia towards the Bay of Bengal’ was a mild cyclone. Our weather authorities had named it arbitrarily as ‘Mahasen’ the name of one of Sri Lanka’s greatest Kings.
The usage of his name was even blamed by the President. The meteorological department authorities had obtained an apology from the entire nation against this blunder. This
apology was made in a letter signed by the Director General of the Met department.
