A businessman from Deraniyagala an associate and a huge fan of Dayasiri had held a bet with another colleague that Dayasiri will not join the government ranks and if he does the businessman was forced to act according to the bet by walking in the Deraniyagala town without clothes. This bet was full filled yesterday the 25th.However the Police had
intervened and the businessman was stopped from his act.
It is learnt that this businessman is an associate of Dayasiri Jayasekara and he was even used to telephone him. He is a wealthy businessman owning a number of vehicles which he gives on hire at the Deraniyagala town. This person’s friend works in a hotel in Colombo. On the 23rd the friend had telephoned the businessman friend.
He had told “macho anna Dayasiri Arnduwata yanawa”.The businessman had told” are you mad if it is so he would have told me”. Then he had telephoned Dayasiri Jayasekara to obtain confirmation. He had said ‘are you mad I will never go to the government’.
He then had telephoned the friend in the hotel and had conveyed that Dayasiri had told that he will not send his dog even. Then the friend had said “ Dapan ottuwak”. The businessman friend had told in that event he will walk in the Deraniyagala town ‘nude’. He had made this bet as he was sure of Dayasiri’s confession. The businessman friend had informed about this bet to his other colleagues around.
After the bet was lost the other colleagues forced him to this act. It was a busy town with a lot people around and vehicles. They insisted that he had to honour the bet. The news had reached the Deraniyagala Police. The businessman prepared to do the act he was prevented in doing so within a few minutes. The Police had questioned him about the case, had warned him and released.
