yesterday afternoon at Kolonnawa.
He invited the Cardinal and the officials of the Ulama organisation to join with his organisation to eradicate the drug menace and added further. He emphasised that Kolonnawa is drug world.
It has to stop by giving it a full stop to it and prevent the younger generation from getting addicted to menace. In addition to drugs the addiction to alcohol, smoking by not only the younger generation but the adults too have to be protected by these dangerous menaces which are rampant in the country. He made a pledge that from yesterday that the Bodu Bala Sena organisation will take this matter to hand very seriously in order to make the citizens in the country a very healthy.
Duminda Silva had also added that he will help to stop this drug menace. He will have to show who are the people importing the drugs. It was stressed that we will stay like a rampart with you in this exercise quipped the Ven.Gnanasara thera. We will have to eradicate drugs from Kolonnawa.
He added that the drug menace is worst than terrorism. The politicians are silent about the drug menace and it is the same with the religious leaders. But we are not scared. Because of stupid Politian’s we lost many valuable lives in the years 1971 and in 1989 about 60000 lives were lost and owing to the ethnic war about 10000 persons lives were lost. The drug menace is worse than the ethnic war it has be brought to a complete halt, which they promised to do.
