The most Reverend Pope Francis after completion of a week’s tour of Brazil in connection with worlds Youth Day events when returning to Rome has had a media discussion while in the
plane.
During the discussion he was asked about the stand about homosexual relations of priests His answer was that he was not the suitable person to comment on that subject.
For a long period of time after a distorted version of the subject of homosexuals within the Vatican had been discussed after a revolutionary statement made by a certain earlier Pope which had been since a subject that had drawn an unpleasant memories among the Catholic people the world over was stressed by the Pope..
The Pope had added that those priests should be given pardon and the subject should be forgotten. He added that whoever much above us even, who are guilty of this we cannot give pardon to the fault and it cannot be forgotten the Pope Francis had also added.
The earlier Pope who held this position the 16th Pope Benedict had made a statement in writing in the year 2005 that a priest who is addicted as a homosexual is not suitable to be a priest .It had later revealed that for his protest there had been even a campaign launched to remove him from his prestigious position.
Certain information the Pope Francis had received that the person who was appointed to refurbish the Vatican bank is a homosexual and to remove him of his responsibilities. When the Pope Francis made thorough investigations it had revealed the information was incorrect he had added. This was disclosed to the media during the discussion in the plane.
He also stressed that these allegations could be referred to as a ‘sin’ and not so as a grave a child abuse.
It is reported that overall the Pope had answered to all questions posed to him in a very mild manner during the entire media discussion.
