UNP'S New 5 Leaders
A group of U.N.P. senior members have requested Mr Ranil Wickremasinghe, to amend the party constitution and appoint three Deputy Leaders to cover the western, southern and up country areas of the country.
The U.N.P. internal sources say that, the party leadership has paid more attention towards these proposal.
Meanwhile, the United National Party is considering to appoint five Deputy Leaders intending to provide equal
representations for different races, and religions.

The internal sources of the United National Party have reported that, the names of parliamentarians, Messrs Sajith Premadasa, Ravi Karunanayake, Lakshman Kiriella, Kabir Hashim, and D.M.Swaminathan have been proposed for this task.
