Sanath's New Appointment After his 3rd Marriage
Media reported Friday that former test Cricketer Sanath Jayasuriya was appointed as Chairman of the Sri Lanka Cricket Selection Committee.
However, when Sportsfirst made inquiries from Jayasuriya he said that he has not officially been informed regarding the appointment.
Chairman of Sri Lanka Cricket Upali Darmadasa, Secretary Nishantha Ranatunga and Chief Executive Officer Ajith Jayasekara said that they have not been notified of such an appointment.
Secretary to the Ministry of Sports Harsha B Abeykoon said that Minister of Sports should be contacted for further
information of the matter.
However, our efforts to contact the Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage were proved futile.
