Gotabhaya's Paddy Cultivation
According to the concept of Defence Secretary Mr Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, the government has focused it’s attention to develop the cultivation of traditional paddy throughout the island.A paddy field of 200 acres near the parliamentary complex is being prepared for this task.

A discussion was held between the government authorities regarding the necessity to launch a propaganda campaign through media regarding the secondary problems which will be erupted after the banning of insecticides and weed killers as well as to explain the people of this country that, problems are not being created by using fertilizers.
