Prime Minister Mr D.M.Jayarathne insists that, the President didn’t propose him in any occasion to retire, or resign from his post and he also has no intention to do so.
He also mentions that, as he was appointed as the Prime Minister under the current President,after getting rejected in three times, he is personally happy about that.He also emphasizes that, the party have given him the highest position ever, for dedicating 60 years of his life for politics.
“I have no intention to retire or resign as the Prime
Minister.But the Prime Minister post is not belongs to me.The President has the absolute right to appoint a Prime Minister.The President’s blessings are always with me.He has personally interfered to provide medical treatments to me in this country as well in the foreign countries”, he added.
