Vaas to think about Other Invitations
Chaminda Vass had quipped that if he does not receive a definite word within two weeks about his appointment as the permanent bowling coach of the SLC he is contemplating on taking up a foreign assignment instead. He is hoping to sign the contract which suits him most.
Presently he had revealed he has got offers as the permanent bowling coach of New Zealand as well as to be the bowling coach of certain Premier League clubs in India and in the West Indies.
The Zealand Cricket Board appoints coaches only for a period of one year and he may be considered for their
forthcoming tour of the Bangladesh, Vass had quipped.
He had received invitations from IPL franchises in the IPL teams in India which is scheduled and it would be confirmed before the end of April. He says the West Indies too have their own premier league teams and there is a firm possibility that his services would be considered by a leading club over there. However Vass had stressed that his preference is to become a bowling coach for a franchise in the Indian Premier league.
