
Sri Lanka Cricket election scheduled for March 30 has been Postponed
Minister of Sports Mahindananda Aluthgamage confirmed this move to Sportsfirst a short while ago.
The minster said the election has been postponed to April 16.
The Minister said the postponement is due to the fact that the report of the committee appointed to examine the nomination of MP Thilanga Sumathipala to the position of President of Sri Lanka Cricket has bee submitted to the Attorney General for legal advice.
He said that as it would take time for the AG to
reach a decision.
The election was postponed considering a request made by Sri Lanka Cricket.
