Another Rape Case in India
It is reported from Central India region that a Swiss National lady had been subjected to a group raping by eight men in front of her husband.
The ‘Times’ of India had reported that 15 persons have been arrested in this regard. The incident had occurred on Friday night around 9 p.m in the ‘Dhesia’ area which had not been a populated but a lonely area.
This lady had been a 39 years old had been beaten with bamboos and other objects before she was raped. Their
possessions like money, laptops, cameras and other belongings have been robbed.
The victim had been rushed to hospital. The Director of Police Nandan Kumar had disclosed that they have already identified the rapists. According to the President of the National Women’s Board Mamtha Sharma had stressed that the action that is taken by the Police is is in a rather negative manner.
The Swiss government is also taking this matter very seriously. The embassy personnel of Switzerland in India are also taking a lot of interest in this matter. This is the second foreigner who had been subjected to a rape this year.
The earlier incident reported was that of a 23 year old Korean student who had been raped by the son of a hotel owner after giving her drugs. This had happened three months after the gang raping of the medical student.
In the case of the raping of the Gova’s 10 year old girl there had been clashes between the Police and protestors where several had been injured from both sides.
As this has come to stay as a common occurrence it has been suggested to have more stringent rules about raping. Although raping is happening at regular intervals of 20 minutes action against the culprits are at low ebb.
