“Some people are scared to speak with me. They have been instructed not to speak with me. The war was won with the arms and weapons imported during my regime. That is fact well known to Fonseka. We bought ‘ Kifir’ fighting planes. One such ‘Kifir’ war plane cost us Rs 150 million. We spent money on them after increasing the salaries of state employees fivefold. These facts were revealed by the former President Chandrika Bandaranaike.”
She added these facts at a speech she made at the Kandy Pushpadana Hall where Vijaya Kumaratunga
commemoration ceremony was held.
She emphasised that the dire need is to collect all honest efficient persons and to form a National government.
