From the time the President Mahinda Rajapaksa was made the President, it was Dr P.B.Jayasundara who was most burdened having had to shoulder all responsibilities being the Secretary to the Ministry of Finance. Dr P.B Jayasundara recalls the era in 1988/.89 when the Wimal Weerawansa had forgotten the period when buses, Electric transformers, Agricultural service centres and breaking Electricity posts were burnt and destroyed.
