Malaka Free to Go
The case filed against 7 persons including Malaka Silva, the son of Minister Mervin Silva on charges of assaulting an army major, has been dismissed by Fort Magistrate, Gihan Pilapitiya.
The 7 persons were accused of assaulting the army major on the 8th of September last year.
When the case was taken up today, the Fort Magistrate ordered for the seven persons including Malaka Silva to be acquitted of all charges.
The Fort Magistrate said they were acquitted based on the
advise of the Attorney General as there was no sufficient evidence for a case to be filed.
