Resolution to ban Bodu Bala Sena organistion passed at Kalmunai Municipal Council
A resolution that had been brought to ban tha Bodu Bala Sena organisation by the members of the Kalmunai Municipal Council had been unanimously passed. The was revealed by the Mayor of kalmunai Municipal Council Shirak Meera Sahib.
The Mayor had added that all members of the Municipal council had agreed to this resolution and that this would be sent to the attention of the President.
The majority of kamunai Municipal Council comprises of Members belonging to the Muslim community apart from a few members from the Tamil parties.
The Secretary General of the Bodu Bala Sena organisation had thanked the Mayor and members of the Municipal
council for making their organisation popular and also drew attention the Members of the Council who are uneducated.
He went on to stress that “Most of our people are uneducated as they have fewer knowledge as they do not read books. He regretted the appointing of persons of less calibre in knowledge to positions in an important Municipal Council. They will realise it subsequently. I pity them but I pray for them”
