A 62 year old woman and her 23 year old daughter were stabbed to death by a group in their home at the Abhayapura housing complex in Anuradhapura last night (May 28), police stated.
The group of assailants had entered their home and had stabbed the two women and the father with sharp objects.
The 62 year old father of the family was rushed to the Anuradhapura hospital and is in critical condition, police
stated.
Police have already arrested a suspect while they claimed that the murder was committed over a love affair.
