Chandrika and Fonseka
Forms an Alliance
It is reported that for the forthcoming Provincial Council Elections, the Leader of the Democratic Party ,Sarath Fonseka is to join with the former President Chandrika Kumaratunga together with some members of the SLFP to contest for the Wyamba Provincial Council forming a new Alliance
They have had a number of discussions at Horagolla in Nittambuwa. A number of her colleague politicians from Kurunegala too had joined in the discussions.
As there are many army personnel who had served the army
from Kurunegala,Sarath Fonseka has a lot of confidence that a win could be achieved by contesting as the new Alliance. There sole intention is also to win.
It is learnt a SLFP stalwart and a reputed businessman from Kurunegala, Sena Ambalegoda is supposed to participate as a candidate for the Wyamba province.
