Former South African leader, and global peace icon, Nelson Mandela was hospitalized early today after his health deteriorated in the last few days.
The presidential spokesman stated that Mandela is receiving treatment at the Pretoria hospital with a recurring lung infection,. Mandela, 94, has become
increasingly frail over the years and has not appeared in public since South Africa hosted the World Cup in 2010.
