The doctors of the Nawaloka hospital are trying to place the blame on the little child’s death, on her shoulders. The parents of the deceased child have accused the authorities of the Nawaloka hospital the cause of the death was due the negligence of the hospital authorities.
The Mother, Chamila Ekanayake of the dead child of Buddhini Kaushalya, says after the MRI scan test she was taken directly to the Intensive Care Unit, where she was
pronounced dead.
“The hospital doctors are planning a say a different story. They say that the child had been suffering from ‘fits of convulsion’ from her small days, and she had been suffering from a acute nerve decease”. But she had quipped by denying that there had been no such history.
The Mother of the child Chamila Ekanayake had confessed that she was admitted for a minor ailment. Hence the responsibility for the child’s death had to be borne by the Doctors and the Authorities of the Nawaloka private hospital.
She further added that her fair child who was entered into the MRI scanning machine within a few minutes when taken out was seen to have turned dark and had her stomach bloated.
She is surprised and puzzling to her as the Nawaloka hospital authorities had treated the child free of charge and had even supplied a hearse free of charge for the funeral.
She intends bringing the matter via a complaint to the notice of the officials of the Health Ministry. She does not want to bow down to money and power. But she wants a an impartial inquiry to be conducted it is her only fervent hope.
