The Deputy Ambassador of America Rebecca Kohane who served in the American Embassy in the year 2010 in Sri Lanka has informed via a cable message that Sarath Fonseka has very little and poor knowledge in economics.
From her cable message which appeared in the Wikiliks web site which states that during the Presidential election campaign held in the year 2010 he had given a pledge to the government servants that they would receive a salary increase of Rs 10,000/-per month which was just an
arbitrary figure. He also promised to pay all senior citizens a monthly allowance of Rs 2000/- monthly. But he never came to debate on how these increases were to be made as he was very poor in his economics.
He also had stressed that he would make a stop to corruption, but he never disclosed as to the manner how he was going to implement his action, the cable message further revealed.
