It is reported that Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna is going to take steps against its Borad Member Lal Kantha for organizing a strike against the electricity hike, without getting permission from the political board of the party.
JVP’s internal view is that the strike held on last 21st was not successful and it diluted the strength of the opposition. Some
politicians have explained it as fulfillment of government requirement.
