On the Night of the Disaster
The Weather People
Had been in Deep Sleep
It had been revealed and proved that the weather people of the meteorological department had been in deep sleep. It is learnt that on the night of the 7th only one officer of the staff in the department had been on duty when the wind at a speed of 80 mph was blowing.
Until the next morning those responsible for the weather forecast, the responsible staff were not aware as to the magnitude of the damage caused owing the severe ‘gale’. This has been revealed via reliable sources.
It is strange that no action has been initiated against the
particular officer who had failed in performing his duties by the higher authorities of the meteorological department who did not take action. This information was conveyed by other weather forecast institution and the BBC but our sole officer on duty had failed to take any action. This matter is indeed very surprising and strange.
