To go on strike from midnight
Private bus operators will go on strike from midnight today as planned, the Lanka Private Bus Operators Association stated.
However, other private bus associations stated they will not support the scheduled strike.
The Sabaragamuwa Provincial Road Passenger Transport
Authority meanwhile stated that any private buses operators in the Sabaragamuwa province who join this
strike action will have their route permits revoked.
Chairman of the authority reminded the operators that they have a duty towards the public which should come ahead of any grievances they have.
