Downward trend in Mobile Connections
So far the number of mobile connections in the country were increasing. But, it reveals from the data that first time in the history, in the 1st quarter of 2013 the number of connections have dropped by 10 lakhs.
According to the TRC, the total connections of the 2013 first quarter were 19,335,732 and there was a reduction of 988,337.
The population in the country is more than 20 million and most are using 2 ‘sims.’
Now the mobile market has become very competitive and
their profit margins have become low.
Mean time, the number of fixed telephone connections have dropped down to 2,832,464 from 3,449,391.
